Optimisation and mapping to power your business

StreetServicer - for door to door routing & scheduling

Need to route clusters of calls on specific streets?

Create routes of points in distinct areas with MM StreetServicerWhether your business is door drop media distribution, reading meters or refuse collection there are many opportunities to increase efficiency when making calls in high density settings.
MM StreetServicer has been specifically designed to address these needs.

MapMechanics StreetServicer groups and allocates calls to street segments before scheduling them. This not only avoids unnecessary repeat visits to the same sections of road, but also reduces the problems posed by operations with many call points to a much more manageable and faster street-based calculation.

Flexible Route Creation with MM StreetServicer

MM StreetServicer creates cost effective high density distribution routes that can be applied to a number of different business environments. With StreetServicer you can

  • Define routes based on time taken, on distance covered or a combination of the two.

  • Create logical and continuous non-overlapping routes ensuring whole areas are covered and streets are not missed.

  • Minimise the number of road crossings. In some cases such as walking routes it may be desirable to avoid crossing roads for Health & Safety reasons. StreetServicer can accommodate these requirements.

  • The flexibility to create routes that model a variety of business rules. For example routes can be looped, have fixed start and/or end points or the user can allow the application itself to determine the most appropriate start and end points.

  • StreetServicer takes account of the physical capacity that can be handled by each vehicle or person. For example the volume of expected refuse in the truck or the number of catalogues an individual can carry. StreetServicer balances the volume that can be carried with the demand on each road segment to create the optimal length for each route.

StreetServicer Environments

StreetServicer can be used in a variety of different environments where there is a requirement to service a group of calls on the same street section, or servicing each side of the street separately. Examples include:

  • Meter Reading
  • Door to Door media distribution
  • Newspaper or milk delivery
  • Sales Calls
  • Waste Collection
  • Road Surveying
