GB Speeds solves this difficulty, providing data that has been derived by MapMechanics using billions of GPS plots taken by traffic information specialists ITIS from a large pool of real vehicles in daily use throughout Great Britain. MapMechanics has used this vast quantity of information to establish congestion regionally by vehicle type. GB Speeds data provides average off-peak speed for cars and small vehicles and separately average off-peak speed for trucks.
